IceTrek Rubber Snow Melting Mats Warranty Information

IceTrek provides a limited warranty for its rubber snow melting mats and accessories ("Product/ Products") to the original purchaser ("Customer") under normal use and service conditions. This limited warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship for a period of two (2) years from the date of purchase.

Warranty Remedy

If a product is found to be defective under normal use during the warranty period, IceTrek will, at its sole discretion:

  • Repair the defective product, or

  • Replace the product with a comparable new or refurbished unit

Note: This warranty provides repair or replacement only. Refunds are not issued for warranty claims on used products.

What Is Not Covered (Warranty Exclusions)

This warranty does not cover damage caused by:

Improper Installation

  • Use with incompatible voltages
  • Improper grounding
  • Overloading electrical circuit

Abuse or Machinery Damage

  • Snow blowers
  • Metal-edged shovels
  • Heavy machinery
  • Sharp objects
  • Environmental & Weather Hazards
  • Flooding or submersion in standing water
  • Localized flooding

Warm Weather Operation

  • Operating heating elements when ambient temperatures exceed 10°C (50°F), which may cause overheating

Natural Occurrences

  • Lightning
  • Acts of God
  • Extreme natural disasters

Animals or Insects

  • Chewing or damage to mats, cables, or power units

Unauthorized Modifications

  • Cutting, splicing, or altering mats, power units, or extension cords

Warranty Claim Process

To initiate a warranty claim, follow these steps immediately upon discovering a defect:

  1. Initial Contact
    Email info@icetrek.ca with your Order Number and a detailed description of the issue.

  2. Supporting Evidence
    Attach clear photos and/or video showing the defect and the electrical setup.

  3. Return for Inspection
    If requested, the product must be returned to IceTrek for technical evaluation.

  4. Shipping Costs

    • Return shipping for inspection is the responsibility of the customer

    • If a manufacturing defect is confirmed, IceTrek may, at its discretion, reimburse shipping costs or waive the return fee for the replacement unit

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, IceTrek shall not be liable for any consequential, incidental, indirect, or special damages, including but not limited to property damage, loss of use, or personal injury.

IceTrek’s total liability shall be limited to the original purchase price of the product.
