After purchasing our 20” x 48” snow melting mat, it’s important be aware of the following key facts and care tips to ensure that your mat will last many winters:
- Heat from the mats may cause discolouration and/or cracking to some surfaces
- Protect decorative concrete (stained concrete) from heat damage and discolouration by using a layer of insulation beneath heated mats such as EPDM foam
- Never stack mats when plugged in and in use
- Inspect the cords and the mats before use, and check for any signs of wear or damage to prevent accidents
- Clean with a mild dish detergent and a soft scrub brush to remove dirt, salt, or any other debris, and make sure to keep mats plugged in to avoid getting moisture inside connectors
- Use outdoors only
- Do not use mats as pet heating mats
- Our mats are made with graphene far-infrared heating films, pet/glass fiber, and natural rubber
